Celtics rule.

Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce (from left to right in photo) along with a superior supporting cast, beat the LA Lakers in game 6 of the 2007/2008 NBA Championship finals, 131 to 92. Actually, they demolished them. The Celtics out-ran and out-hustled their opponents in the second half to seal the victory and to ignite their fans into a frenzy of excitement. After two decades of just average basketball since their last championship, this 17'th title was sweet.
Boston is a sports fan's paradise with recent successful contenders in football, baseball and now basketball.
Not to sound ungrateful but I would love to see a resurgence of the Boston Bruins ice hockey team. In my mind, I keep seeing that magical vision of Bobby Orr suspended horizontally in mid-air in front of the St. Louis Blues goalie after clinching the winning goal.
Was that kind of a thrilling climax, the kind that made one's hair stand on the back of the neck, a once-in-a-lifetime phenomena?
I hope not.

Minnesota's Kevin Garnett.

ren,

Correct you are, Garnett's a former "franchise" player for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He is one amazing power forward and all-around player. One of the best. There is some local controversy over whether he should have been named series MVP instead of Paul Pierce. Pierce, being the 10 year Celtic "franchise" player got the nod instead. Both played their hearts out and its really a toss up, IMHO.
