Coincidences to ponder.

Occasionally we hear some facts and figures that grip our attention. We then start to dwell on the laws of probability. Like the connection between Halley's comet and Mark Twain.
From Wikipedia:

Two of the comet's visits - 1835 and 1910 - are the same years as the birth and death of the American novelist Mark Twain. He wrote in 1909, "I came in with Halley's Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it."

He did!

In that vein, here are stats a friend of mine sent over that may make you say: "What are the odds?"

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. > John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.
